N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Fire Department has released their run report for December 6th through the 19th.
According to Fire Chief Jim Ruehter, the Jamestown Fire Department has responded to a total of 249 calls so far in the year 2013. In 2012, they responded to 254. Below is a full list of all calls the Fire Department has responded to since the 6th of December.
December 6th, 10:19PM, ready squad responded to 1312 10th St NE, Jamestown North, to investigate fire alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-systems malfunction. Fire alarm was reset. Time out 1 hour 10 minutes.
December 7th, 9:07PM, ready squad responded to 2400 8th Ave SW, Buffalo Mall-Cinema 6, to investigate fire alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-Systems malfunction. Fire alarm was reset. Time out 1 hour 10 minutes.
December 8th, 12:56PM, fire department responded 906 8th Ave NE, Multi Family Dwelling, to a report of smoke in the laundry room. No fire, firefighter’s extracted smoke from the building. Cause-electrical malfunction with the wash machine. No firefighter injuries. Time out 30 minutes.
December 12th, 8:40AM, fire department responded to 17th St and US Hwy 281, Commercial Truck, to a report of a truck on fire. Firefighters extinguished the fire and investigated. Cause-hydraulic fluid leaking on exhaust. No firefighter injuries. Time out 1 hour.
December 12th, 11:25AM, ready squad responded to 1317 Business Loop East, Alpha Opportunities, to investigate natural gas odor. Firefighters and staff form Montana Dakota Utilities checked the building. Cause-misfiring furnace. Time out 30 minutes.
December 17th, 5:43AM, fire department responded to 805 5th Ave NE, Multi Family Dwelling, to a report of smoke in the building. No fire, firefighters extracted smoke from the building and investigated. Cause-unattended cooking. Time out 50 minutes.
