N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Lt. Mitch Brecto announced Tuesday that the Jamestown Salvation Army is roughly $65,000 short of their Red Kettle Campaign goal. But the Lions Club will be helping out for the holidays this year.
The Lions Club agreed on Wednesday to match kettle funds of up to $5,000 dollars. They will also be ringing bells for 16 hours on December 18th as well. Typically, kettles in Jamestown raise $1,200 a day.
Brecto also stated that it’s been difficult finding bell ringers this year. If you would like to volunteer, ringers will be out until Christmas Eve. To volunteer, call 701-252-0290.
