CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) Slippery road conditions may have contributed to the pickup crash on Interstate 94 Monday in Valley City. The driver of the vehicle lost control and went into the median. There was no report on whether or not the driver was injured in the Monday morning crash that happened shortly after 8:30am

The North Dakota Department of Transportation warned motorists about challenging winter driving conditions in eastern North Dakota. Officials issued a travel alert for the region due to snow covered roadways and blowing and drifting snow making road surfaces slippery. 

The state Department of Transportation and the North Dakota Highway Patrol is reminding motorist to disengage or to NOT use your cruise control during icy or slippery road conditions.
