CITY, N.D (NewsDakota.com) After a close loss to Fargo Davies on Thursday, the Hi-liners bounced back on on Saturday afternoon with a 69-41 win over St. Mary’s.
The full court press of Valley City continued to perplex their opponent as the Hi-Liners capitalized on a number of turn overs at the beginning of the game. Taking full advantage of the steals, Jessica Denholm finished the first half with nearly 10 points.
In the second half the Saints, Katelyn Schaffner, would score four quick points to start out play, but the Hi-Liners would recover. Led by Dierra Diegel who tallied a team high 15 points, all five starters for Valley City, Jessica Denholm, Clair Olson, Danica Diegel, and Madison Taylor, would end the night with double digit scoring.
