N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Fire Department released their run reports for the week of December 1st through the 5th.
According to Fire Chief Jim Ruether, the Jamestown Fire Department responded to 8 calls in the past week. In the report, it states that there was a total of 254 calls in the year 2012. As of December 5th, the total call number for 2013 is 243. Below is the full list of calls that were responded to.
December 1st, 3:24PM, fire department heavy rescue responded to the area of I-94 Mile Marker 244 West Bound, to a report of a person/s trapped in a vehicle. No extrication was needed, rescue units were cancelled enroute. No firefighter injuries. Cause-vehicle rollover. Time out 20 minutes.
December 2nd, 11:14PM, ready squad responded to 5855 3rd St SE, Cavendish Farms, to investigate fire alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-system testing. Fire alarm was reset. Time out 30 minutes.
December 3rd, 12:26PM, ready squad responded to 2403 Circle Drive, NDSH-GM Building, to investigate fire alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-accidental alarm activation. Fire alarm was reset. Time out 30 minutes.
December 3rd, 6:14PM, ready squad responded to 1511 Skyline Lane, Single Family Dwelling, to analyze for carbon monoxide. Firefighters tested for carbon monoxide, 0ppm was detected. Cause-detector malfunction. Time out 30 minutes.
December 4th, 12:18PM, ready squad responded to 1825 8th Ave NW, Single Family Dwelling, to analyze for carbon monoxide. Firefighters tested for carbon monoxide, 0ppm was detected. Cause-detector malfunction. Time out 55 minutes.
December 5th, 4:02PM, fire department responded to 312 2nd Ave NW, Single Family Dwelling, to a report of fire coming out of a chimney. Fire was out upon arrival of fire units. Cause-unknown. No firefighter injuries. Time out 10 minutes.
