N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The North Dakota Highway Patrol continued to respond to crashes and stranded vehicles during the wintry weather on Monday, December 2nd.
According to Captain Bryan Niewind, troopers responded to 26 crashes and 40 vehicles in the ditch between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM. Of the 26 crashes, 23 were property damage only and 3 were minor injury crashes.
One of the crashes occurred on I94 at exit 272. A passenger car lost control and struck a guardrail at the underpass. The driver suffered minor injuries and was treated on scene.
With the winter weather forecast for the next few days, The North Dakota Highway patrol is urging motorists to slow down and give themselves extra time to reach their destinations. They should also increase following distances, always wear their seat belts and never drink and drive.
