Allen Lynn Sorensen age 65 of Pillsbury ND died Saturday Nov 30th peacefully at home surrounded by his family. Family services will be held at Lerud Schuldt Funeral home in Valley City ND at 7pm. Funeral services will be held at the Pillsbury Presbyterian church at 2pm Thursday December 5th with pastor Steve Scheel officiating.?

     Allen Lynn Sorensen the son of Edgar and Christy (Martin) Sorensen was born Aug 17, 1948 in Valley City, ND.?Allen spent his early childhood near Dazey ND and began his formal education at North Central School. Allen was a skilled welder. He welded at Steiger and Versatile tractor in Fargo ND. He later owned his own welding company at Killdeer ND welding in the oilfield in the late 70s, early 80s. He moved back to the east side of the state in 1986 to be closer to family . He welded at Sheyenne Tooling and for John Deere Seeding which he thoroughly enjoyed. ?Allen married Linda (Eberhardt) Sorensen on April 4th,1969. They had 2 children. A son Chad (Angie)Sorensen of Larimore ND, and daughter Corrina (Mark) Jorgensen of Valley City ND.?

     Allen loved hunting and fishing and the outdoors, camping with his granddaughters which were his pride and joy! Allen loved his family and friends and had a good sense of humor and a caring personality.?

     Allen is survived by his wife, Linda, Pillsbury ND. Son Chad (Angie) Sorensen, Larimore ND. Daughter Corrina (Mark) Jorgensen, Valley City, ND. Four sisters, Beverly (Leo) Edlund of Cooperstown, Sheryll (Hiram) Wood, Winchester TN, Tammy (Brad) Smith, Peggy Murray Valley City, Granddaughters Sami, Piper, Liberty and Morgen. Also several nieces and nephews.

     ?Allen was preceeded in death by his parents Edgar and Christy Sorensen, a brother Mark Sorensen, and a granddaughter.?
