(NewsDakota.com)- Both Jimmie basketball teams were on the road in different cities playing exhibitions last night. The men fell 93-69 to MSU-Moorhead and the women lost the Division I UND 93-56.
Tyler Vaughn hit five threes and finished with 23 points to lead the Dragons. MSU-M jumped out on the Jimmies 16-6, but following a 7-0 run for Jamestown the Dragons pulled away for good. Former Jamestown recruit Jordan Riewer hit three triples in the game.
Brequan Tucker lead the Jimmies with 13. MSU-M dominated the glass in the first half as they pulled away by a margin of 22-9. Coach Justin Wieck gave his guys the Thanksgiving holiday off so after the game most went their separate ways to spend the holiday with family.
The Jimmie women got 20 of their 56 points from Hannah Steele, but couldn’t muster enough offense to get by UND after shooting just 20% in the first half. Madi Buck had 21 to lead North Dakota.
Jamestown will be on the road this weekend playing in Dickinson. They will play Friday against Dickinson at 6pm and Saturday at 2pm against Rocky Mountain, both of those times central and the games will be on 98.3 FM.
