L. Clark, 76, of Hecla, SD, passed away on November 21, 2013, at ManorCare Nursing Home, Aberdeen, SD.

Clinton was born June 11, 1937 to Harley and Edna (Wampler) Clark. He grew up on farms in the Hecla area, and attended Hecla Public School. On April 17, 1959, he married Geraldyne Pfutzenreuter at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church west of Hecla. In 1962 they moved to Anaheim, CA, where they lived for eight years before moving to Corona, CA. In 1977 they built a home at Lake Mathews, CA, where they live during the winter months, with summers spent at the Pfutzenreuter farm near Hecla. Clinton worked many years for General Tire of Anaheim and Owl Rock Prodcts, a concrete company until they closed. He then worked at Lu L Manufacturing in Oakes until he retired.

He is survived by his wife Geraldyne; children, Laurel (Toby) Garland, Corona, CA, Kimberly (Jerry) Faust, Riverside, CA, Vern (Christel) Clark, Verona, ND, and Penny (Ted) Klukaczynski, Oak Hills, CA; a sister, Carol (Ronald) Hyatt, Ludden, ND; two brothers, Russell (Dixie) Clark, Hecla, SD and Kenneth (Della) Clark, Sartell, MN; nine grandchildren, Tuesday and Chase Garland, Jerry and Derrick Faust, Jorren and Jerrad Clark, and Rex Gallardo, Laurie Morales and Joseph Klukaczynski; and six great-grandchildren. Clinton was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Neal, and daughter, Kimberly.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, December 2, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Hecla. An on-line guestbook may be signed at www.dahlstromfuneralhome.com
