N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Two Jamestown individuals were rewarded for their contributions and good deeds to their community.
Rick Dockter and Lorraine Jorgenson of Jamestown have received a gift from the Tanks of Thanks program from Cenex, which encourages people to nominate family and neighbors for free fuel as a way to say thank you for doing good in the community. Each month, 100 nominees are randomly selected to receive free fuel from Cenex as thanks.
Dockter was nominated for his volunteer work with the Home-Delivered Meals program at a local senior citizen center. Jorgenson was nominated for knitting winter caps and scarves to give to children in her church, elementary school and the homeless shelter in Moorhead, Minnesota.
