(NewsDakota.com)- Chai Pappa had an unbelievable 29 kills, but wasn’t enough as the LaMoure Lobos punched their ticket to the state championship with a 3-1 (25-12, 26-24, 24-26, 26-24) win over Stanley. Courtney Carlson countered with 21 of her own kills for LaMoure.
LaMoure came out and hammered the Jays in the opening set, but after that the next three sets were all hotly contested. Stanley had one set point in the fourth set to send it to a decisive fifth set, but the Lobos scored the final three points.
LaMoure will play the winner of Northern Cass and Carrington tomorrow at 6pm in the state championship match. The game will be broadcast on TED 98.3 FM and streamed online at NewsDakota.com.
