CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) For several months the city has been having problems with their fixed base radio system that the Public Works Department uses to communicate with their mobile units.
City Electrical Supervisor Stan Hansen says we have had ongoing problems with the telephone circuits which have made communications from our facilities to mobile units impossible at times. Hansen says the new radios will be able to communicate with our mobile units within the city.
Valley City administrator David Schelkoph says the move will save the city $440 per month.
The Valley City Commission unanimously approved of a low bid of $8,400 from Jamestown Communications Inc at their regular meeting on November 18.
