N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A man has been transported to the Jamestown Regional Medical Center for burn injuries after he set himself on fire.
According to Jamestown Police Chief Scott Edinger, dispatch received a call around 10:15 AM this morning from a man who wanted to talk to a police officer at McElroy Park. Several officers arrived at the scene and a 47 year-old man exited a vehicle, doused himself with gasoline and lit himself on fire.
Officers were able to extinguish the flames and he was immediately transported to the Jamestown Regional Medical Center. His condition is unknown at this time.
The Jamestown Police Department, the Stutsman County Task Force and the Jamestown City Fire Department responded to the scene.
