CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) A Tuskegee Airmen historian, Ron Spriggs will give a presentation of the Legacy of the Tuskegee Airmen on Thursday in Froemke Auditorium inside Foss Music Hall from 4pm to 5:30pm on the Valley City State University campus. The public is welcome to attend.

The Tuskegee Airmen were the first African-American pilots in World War II. The segregated unit was trained at the Tuskegee Institute, a historically black college in Tuskegee, Alabama.

Ron Spriggs is an oral historian, lecturer and curator of the Tuskegee Airmen exhibit. Spriggs founded the Ron Spriggs Exhibit of Tuskegee Airmen in December 2002 as an independent means of telling the history and legacy of the Tuskegee Airmen.
