N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Jamestown has its historic street size parade train back.
Consisting of an engine, coal car, tender and caboose, the train was used in the late 1950’s and 1960’s when union members built it for parades, carnivals, and other events.
The train began experiencing many repairs and was left alone. This past summer, the train was in Bonanzaville in West Fargo. It was returned to Jamestown by Shawn Syverson, a trucker who was a neighbor to Jim Carlascio, one of the original constructors of the train.
Frontier Village now owns the train and when they have the title, they will begin seeking funding to do restoration Work.
