CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) The paint was still drying but the newly renovated Valley City theater is open again for movie enthusiasts. Cinema Flix owner Jeremy Zako says everything inside the Valley City theater is brand new.

Bud Kilen is back working as an usher and ticket taker in the newly renovated theater. He told newsdakota.com that at the age of 15 he started working at the outdoor theater known at the Star Nite back in 1960. Kilen later worked for the Omwick and the Piller Theaters in Valley City.

Kilen says with this job I’ve been working for movie theaters in Valley City off and on for 53 years.
