CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) School officials in Valley City, Oakes and LaMoure are dealing with a head lice outbreak that has spread to several students in the region. 

Valley City High School principal Kristi Brandt says only one confirmed case has been report at the Junior/Senior high school but she says more than a dozen cases have been reported at Jefferson Elementary school.

In the photo above Jefferson elementary students in Valley City bagged up items like coats, hats and backpacks into plastic bags to prevent the spread of lice.
