N.D. (NewsDakota.com) A ,000 grant from the North Dakota Community Foundation has now moved the “Save the City Band Shell Fund Drive” to nearly ,000.

Valley City Parks and Recreation director Tyler Jacobson says the money is welcome news for so many people in the community who are working to raise funds to renovate the structure damaged by flood waters in the spring of 2009 and again 2011.

Jacobson says right now enough money has been raised to build a new foundation for the structure next summer. He says the plan is to finish the final phase of repairs after its on a new foundation.
