N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown/Stutsman Development Corporation Board of Directors reached an agreement to sell a lot in the industrial park near Cavendish Farms.
The agreement is with Ambassador Steel Corporation based in Auburn, Indiana. Ambassador Steel creates rebar for use in construction and has supplied steel for a variety of projects across North Dakota. It will be built near land purchased by Koste Materials, who plan to build a cement ready mix plant.
Ambassador Steel will be buying the land for roughly $7,500 an acre. The company is also asked the JSDC to fund part of a road necessary to reach the lot.
The total project cost is estimated at $1.2 million dollars and is expected to start construction in the Spring of 2014. The company expects four to six people will be employed with as many as 10 workers when it is in full operation.
