CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) One person has been arrested and the search continues for another suspect allegedly involved in several church burglaries including a break-in of the public library last month in Valley City.

Police Chief Fred Thompson says 18-year-old Nicole Lindermann of Kathryn turned herself into police Wednesday night.

Thompson says an arrest warrant for 25-year-old Andrew M. Miklas, of Valley City remains active, the two are wanted for questioning in connection with the burglary of Faith Lutheran Church.

In a news release Thompson says, “It was determined that Lindermann allegedly waited outside the church in a vehicle while Miklas was inside the church committing the burglary.” Thompson says, “It isn’t clear whether the robbery is connected with the October 21 fire of the church, which still remains under investigation.”

Authorities say the fire at Faith Lutheran Church was deliberately set and caused nearly $2 million in damage to the inside of the church.

On the weekend of September 28-29 four churches and the city public library were burglarized. Thompson says the suspects entered through unsecured doors while in other cases they forced their way inside the buildings.

Anyone with information on these cases should contact Valley City police at 701-845-3110.
