CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) On the final night of the 2013 high school football season, the Valley City Hi-Liners ended on a high note, earning their fourth win of the season with a 54-40 win over Central Cass.
It was the Squirrels who drew first blood in the competition when Kyle Schultz found Ryan Nelson on a long pass. The night however would turn quickly for the home team, as John Halgrimson would answer with a 20 yard run into the end zone.
While Halgrimson would get the first score for the Hi-Liners, it would be Dustin Lindgren who had the strongest night. The senior fullback finished the night with over 200 -yards and three touchdowns in his final high school football game. Along with scores from Lucas Jury and a repeat trip to the endzone for Halgrimson, Valley City would seal the victory in the final game of the season.
The Hi-Liners end the season with a 4-5 record overall and 3-4 in region play.
