CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) 9th avenue northwest in Valley City is open once again. A ribbon cutting ceremony was held Friday for the completion of the .8 million dollar project.

Meanwhile in Sibley, officials dedicated the new bridge. The $2.9 million dollar bridge is 4 feet higher and 8 feet wider on Highway 26 as it crosses Lake Ashtabula.

Barnes County commissioner Cindy Schwehr says the residents in the area had to deal with two reconstruction projects this year.

(Sibley bridge is now wide enough for a combine to cross with the header on.)
