Emma Wolvert, 91, Carrington, ND died Thursday morning October 24, 2013 at the Golden Acres Manor in Carrington, ND.

     Emma Ziegenhagel was born November 13, 1921 on the family farm northwest of Lehr, ND, the daughter of Ferdinand Ziegenhagel and Christina (Sifferman) Ziegenhagel. She received her elementary education at the local rural school and grew to womanhood in the vicinity.

     She and Frank Wolvert were married May 31, 1965 in Lehr, ND. They made their home in Sanborn, ND on a farmstead. Following the death of her husband in 1972, she continued to live on the farm. She entered the Gackle Care Center in 2009.

     She was a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Sanborn, ND.

     She enjoyed crocheting and she was an excellent cook.

     She is survived by her step children, Janet Peterson, Anoka, MN; Harold Wolvert, Baldwin, WI; and Jean LeDoux, Brainerd, MN.

     She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 2 brothers, and 1 sister.

     Graveside service – 11:00 AM Monday October 28, 2013 Fairview Cemetery, Sanborn, ND.
