Valley City Electrical Supervisor Stan Hansen says the program provides big incentives for local businesses that purchase energy efficient equipment.

The Sheyenne Care Center received a rebate of $11,398 dollars for recent upgrades at the 75 year old facility. CEO Craig Christensen says it’s a win, win situation.

Valley City State University Director of Facilities Services Ron Pommerer says the new lighting is brighter and cuts down the electrical bill.

Valley City State received a rebate of $43,000 dollars. The two businesses were handed their rebate savings check during a news conference in Valley City on October 18.
