N.D. (AP) Sherman Sylling, Executive Secretary of the North Dakota High School Activities Association, has announced that he plans to retire next year.

The Jamestown Sun reports that Sylling recently informed the association’s board of directors that he plans to retire effective June 30. The Board will put together a process to hire Sylling’s successor.

Sylling has been executive secretary of the High School Activities Association since 1999. Before that, he was superintendent in a number of school districts.
