Reed Carow, 45, of Buchanan, ND, formerly of Edgeley, ND, died Saturday, October 19, 2013 at Sanford Health, Fargo.

     Reed Robert Carow was born on September 26, 1968, in LaMoure, ND, the son of Robert and Charlotte (Ames) Carow. He attended Edgeley Public School, then Job Corps where he attained his welding certificate. Reed worked on the railroad, and most recently was employed at Jamestown Truck Plaza. Reed’s hobbies were hunting, fishing, and gardening. He was always willing to help other people with a smile; he had a giving heart by nature. Reed’s giving continued through Life Source Gift of Life to Others.

     Reed is survived by his mother, Charlotte Carow, Edgeley; brother, Robin (Cheryl) Carow, Knoxville, TN; sisters, Becky Carow, Devils Lake, ND, Sharon (Timothy) Dusharm, Berthoud, CO, Linda (Gordy) Braathen, Grand Forks, ND, Stacey (Bernie) Retzlaff, Fargo, ND, and Marcy (Dave) Jawaski, Wahpeton, ND; ten nieces and nephews, Kelly (Maranda Marsh) Carow and their children, Eliza & Nora Jean, Ashley (Warren) Michael and their children, Grady & Knox, Heather (Eric Raymond) Rowell and their children, Aaden & Korbin, Dylan Retzlaff, Megan Rowell, Keah (J.D.) Pratt, Britney (Derek) Olson, Kaliesha Jawaski, Kylar Jawaski, and K’Vontay Dusharm.

     He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents.

     Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at Zion Lutheran Church, Edgeley with Pastor Alan Eppen officiating.

     Visitation: 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday, October 21, 2013 at Zion Lutheran Church, Edgeley.

     Prayer Service: 7:00 p.m., Monday, October 21, 2013 at Zion Lutheran Church, Edgeley.

     Interment: Mt. Hope Cemetery, Edgeley, ND.
