CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) Rainy weather has delayed the opening of 9th avenue northwest in Valley City.

Project manager Chad Petersen says the road should reopen to traffic on or after October 23. He says a ribbon cutting ceremony with local and state officials is now tentatively set for Friday, October 25 at 1pm weather permitting.

The two phase project was suppose to be completed in September but has been delayed by nearly a month now due in part to the weather.
