Yvonne Marie (McMillan) Derheim age 63 passed away on Sunday, October 13th at Mercy Hospital in Valley City. Memorial Services will be conducted at 7 PM Friday evening at the Lerud-Schuldt Funeral Home with Deacon Arlie Braunberger officiating.
Yvonne was born August 27, 1950 in Devils Lake to Fred and Eleanor McMillan. She attended school in Devils Lake until the family moved to Whitefish, MT and she graduated from high school there. Yvonne married Cyril Neether and together they had one son, Scott. Yvonne married Robert Derheim in 2002. She worked various jobs throughout her lifetime, most recently as a telemarketer in Valley City.
Yvonne’s freedom was her most prized possession. She loved her country, and was very patriotic and supportive of those who fought for and defended that freedom. Her hobby was collecting snowmen–83 at last count! She also loved to grow flowers.
Grateful to have shared their lives with her are her husband, Robert; son, Scott (Heidi); grandsons, Tucker, Tre’, and Teagan; brothers, Gordon (Judy) McMillan and Allan (Lyn) McMillan; a sister, Cheryl Lewis; and several nieces and nephews. Her niece Shelly Sizer was especially close to her. Yvonne was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Treonne Kramer, a nephew Lannie Jewett, and a niece Stacy Pederson.
