N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown/Stutsman County Development Corporation has approved the sale of a lot for the building of a new hotel.
At the JSDC regular board meeting held Monday October 14th, a unanimous vote to sell the I-94 Business Park lot to John Shaw was passed. Shaw Development will pay $1 per square foot for the lot. The hotel to be built will be a Microtel Inn.
DeAnn Brunner with the JSDC says it’s exciting for the city of Jamestown.
Because the land is owned by the JSDC, the sale and building of the Microtel Inn. does not need to be approved by the Jamestown City Council or the Stutsman County Commission.
The Microtel Inn. will cost roughly $5.9 Million to build and will bring with it about 83 rooms and 15 full time jobs.
