CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) A U-S Forest Service grant aimed at helping Barnes County residents take steps to avoid having their homes and other buildings destroyed by a grass fire is now available. Barnes County Soil Conservation District Spokeswoman Lori Frank tells us about the “Fire Wise” grant.

Frank says a number of steps can be taken to protect property from grass fires.
