(NewsDakota.com) After having the disappointing comeback against Sargent Central on Thursday night, the Oakes High School volleyball team was able to have a solid outing in Enderlin on Saturday as they competed in the Lisbon/Enderlin Tournament.
The Tornadoes faced Edgeley-Kulm, Milnor and Kindred in pool play in Enderlin. Oakes swept E-K two games to none in their first match of the day by scores of 25-14 and 25-21. Against Milnor, the Tornadoes were victorious in both games by scores of 25-20 and 25-12. Oakes won both games against Kindred as well by scores of 25-16 and 25-23.
Oakes goes back into District 1 play this week with two home games. Tuesday the Tornadoes host Enderlin and on Thursday, Oakes will welcome Milnor. Coverage of Thursday’s game can be heard on KDDR-AM 1220 and NewsDakota.com.
