CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) Firefighters responded to a house fire in Valley City on Friday afternoon. Fire Chief Gary Retterath talks about what may have caused the fire in the 400 block of 5th avenue northeast.

Retterath says when fire crews arrived smoke was pouring out a door on the south side of the house. He says no one was home at the time of the fire and no injuries were reported.
