CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) Police arrested a Valley City State student wanted for questioning in a Minneapolis shooting that killed one person and wounded another.

Minneapolis police got an arrest warrant for 21-year-old Cedric Chappell Jr. He faces one count of murder and one count of attempted murder.

Valley City Police Chief Fred Thompson says Chappell was taken into custody without incident Tuesday afternoon on the VCSU campus.

VCSU spokesman Greg Vanney says the student has been suspended from the university and VCSU officials are cooperating with police in this investigation.

Minneapolis police contacted Valley City police last weekend to seek assistance in investigating of this shooting.
