CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) The Stockholders of Dakota Plains Cooperative voted overwhelmingly to approve a merger with Cenex Harvest States Inc;

General Manager Ken Astrup also talked about one advantage the merger will have for the company and its customers.

Astrup says employees will be retained under the merger. He says Dakota Plains Cooperative will operate as a division of CHS. The merger with CHS will go into effect on January first 2014.
