N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown City Council has approved the rate increase to utilities for Jamestown residents.
Water and sewer rates will be raised up by 3% and sanitation and solid waste should see a 5% increase.
According to Councilman Ramone Gumke, the city is trying to catch up with the past years of inflation. Since the city has not approved utility rates in some years, there has been deficient spending in the sanitation and solid waste department.
