CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) After a strong finish in the Optimist tournament last week, the Hi-Liners Volleyball team rode the momentum to a three game win over Eastern Dakota Conference foe, Grand Forks Central.
The Hi-Liners were led offensively by Dierra Diegel and Claire Olson who notched 11 kills apiece in the contest. The Knights only answer was Jess Longtin who tallied 12 kills of her own, but in the end it was not enough for Cenral to even take a game. Valley City advanced their conference record to 3-3 on the year with a sweep of the Knights (25-17, 25-21, 25-12).
The Hi-Liners return to action on Thursday, October 3rd, when they travel back to Grand Forks for a match up with Red River, at 7pm.
