(NewsDakota.com)- The perfect start continued for the Jamestown High volleyball team as they upended Bismarck 3-1 (25-15, 15-25, 25-13, 25-20) at Jerry Meyer Arena on Tuesday night.
Addie Eamon paced the Jays with 20 kills as they improved to 5-0 in WDA play. Jamestown head coach Sara Hegerle called Bismarck “possibly the most athletic team in the state” and it showed. Led by setter McKenzie Keifer and outside hitter Natalee Todd the Demons hustled to balls all over the floor.
Jamestown grabbed a quick lead with a convincing win in the first set behind a multitude of Demon hitting errors. Bismarck responded by returning the favor in set two. They traded jabs in the third before Jamestown found their grove and never looked back.
Jenna Stilwell and Josie Hegerle each had 10-plus kills. Hegerle continually dumped sets over her shoulder to open areas.
The back row play was superb again; McKayla Orr had 39 digs while Meghan Orr, Julina Niemeier and McKayla Keller each finished with more than 18.
Jamestown heads to Belcourt Friday and then to Mandan on Tuesday, which will be the next radio broadcast.
