CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A Leonard, North Dakota woman was hospitalized after her vehicle collided with a train near Tower City on Saturday.

54 year-old Dawn Flaig of Leonard, N.D. was northbound on a gravel road near Tower City at 7:17 PM, when she began to cross railroad tracks. Her vehicle was struck by a westbound Burlington Northern Santa Fe train.

Flaig was wearing her seat belt and the airbags were deployed. Casselton Ambulance responded and she was airlifted to a Fargo hospital, where her condition is not being made available. No one was injured on the train.

Flaig was cited for failure to yield.
