(NewsDakota.com) At their September meeting on Tuesday, the North Dakota High School Activities association approved realignment for Class B basketball and volleyball effective next year on a 7-3 vote.

The changes will send Oakes and Carrington High School boys and girls basketball along with volleyball to District 5. The Tornadoes and Cardinals will join Barnes County North, Ellendale, Edgeley-Kulm, LaMoure-Litchville/Marion and Midkota/Kensal to complete a revamped District 5 .

District 1 will not change, other than Oakes leaving for District 5. F-C-T, Hankinson, Lisbon, Milnor, North Sargent, Sargent Central and Wyndmere-Lidgerwood will make up District 1 starting in 2014.
