Eleanor Bakke 91, Valley City, ND passed away Friday, September 13, 2013 at Sanford Hospital in Fargo, ND. Private family services will be conducted with burial in Woodbine Cemetery at Valley City, ND. An on-line guest register is available at lerudschuldt.com.

Eleanor Akseline Silseth was born May 22, 1922 in Northwood, ND. The daughter of Albert and Gerda (Walswick) Silseth, she grew up in Hatton, ND. She married Melvin Bakke on November 8, 1943 in Hopewell, Virginia. They raised 11 children and resided in Valley City, ND. She dearly loved all her family. She enjoyed her gardening, a good cup of coffee and a conversation about the weather.

She is survived by five sons and five daughters; Gary (Beth), Kenny, Blair, Paulette (Richard), Sandy (Albert), Charlene (Richard), Brad (Rita), Susan (Clay), Jeanne (Boyd), Brian (Darnelle); 16 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; six great great grandchildren; and one sister Frances Hinson. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband (Melvin), son (Keith), grandson (Brandon), and two sisters (Glenora and Ann).

We will all miss her beautiful smile.
