Lee Buskohl, son of Dick and Edna (Asche) Buskohl died peacefully surrounded by family and under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley.
Wayne was born March 25, 1941 at Parker, South Dakota. At the age of 9, he moved with his family to a farm south of Milnor and attended Dunbar Country School through grade seven when it closed. He then attended school in Milnor, graduating with the class of 1960. Wayne served his country in the U.S. Air Force from 1961 to 1965.
After his discharge, he moved to Wyndmere, North Dakota, where he did cutom hay bailing and also ran the Wyndmere Outdoor Theater until he started farming. He later moved to Beach, North Dakota to work in the oil fields and he also owned and operated Buskohl Hay Services. Wayne moved to Gwinner, North Dakota and was employed with Ray Mac until he started farming with Myron Yagow which he enjoyed. Wayne found joy in helping his sons David with his lamb feed lot and John with his construction business. He was a member of the Milnor Airport Authority fulfilling his love of aviation.
In August 1962, Wayne married Marlys Jones and they lived near Wyndmere raising their two children, Penny and David. He married Sally Lehmann in June 1984 at Beach and they share one child John. On December 16, 1995, Wayne married Jeanette Hogness. They made their home in Milnor. Together they built and operated U-Stor-It, a self-storage business for 19 years. They enjoyed camping with their family, setting up their teepee, and attending Black Powder Club Rendezvous.
Wayne will long be remembered by all for his unique influence to teach all to live life while seeking adventure. He always had something fascinating and out of the norm to share: things like pet deer, peacocks, pet rattle snakes, and Indian rocks.
