Travis Winings, 36, died September 2nd, 2013 at his home in Wahpeton, ND. Memorial Services will be conducted at 1 PM Saturday Sept. 7, 2013 at the Lerud-Schuldt Funeral Home in Valley City with Rev. Wade Miller officiating. Visitation will be from 5 to 6 PM Friday at the funeral home with a Prayer Service beginning at 6 PM. Burial will take place at 5 PM Saturday in the Arthur Cemetery.

     Travis was born March 11, 1977, in Fargo ND, the son of Donald and Rita Winings. He graduated from VCHS in 1995. During High School and a couple years following he worked as a cook at Hilltop Cafe. He worked a few other places in Valley City including Tri W G and the Open Door Center. On August 16th, 2002 he married Michelle Tibor. Travis worked for four years at All Freight in the FM area. For the last two years Travis has been working at the car shop for Red River Valley and Western Railroad in Breckenridge, MN. He enjoyed his job and his coworkers very much. Travis enjoyed camping, watching movies, collecting guns, and spending time with his friends and family. He cherished his 4 legged friend, Poppy. To know Travis was to love him. He always wanted to make people happy and make sure everyone around him was having a good time.

     Travis is survived by his wife Michelle Winings, his parents Don and Rita Winings, his mother-in-law Lois Tibor, his sisters, Kristy (Jeff) Falstad and Vicki (Tim) Hass, his nieces and nephews, Lexi Falstad, Sarah, Carson, Carter, and Claire Hass. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Howard and Evelyn Winings , Albert and Mary Rath, and a nephew Jordan Johnson.
