N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Enrollment numbers for Jamestown Public Schools were totaled up by the schools and given out.

According to Jamestown Public Schools Superintendent Rob Lech, they total numbers on the first day of classes and the first Friday of classes.

“We do a First Friday report as not all of our students are enrolled on the first day of school.”

In Elementary (Kindergarten – 5th Grade), there was a total of 937 students on the first day of school and 935 students on the first Friday.

In Middle School (6th Grade – 8th Grade), there were 473 students on the first day and 486 on the first Friday.

In Senior High School (9th Grade – 12th Grade), there were 643 students recorded and on the first Friday there were 689. Jamestown North recorded 22 on the first Friday to add to the total on the first Friday.

District totals reached 2053 students for the first day of classes and 2110 for the first Friday.
