(NewsDakota.com)- The Jamestown High volleyball team opened up the 2013 season with a trip to Bismarck for the Bismarck/Century Invite against seven different teams from the west.
The Blue Jays went 6-1 after sweeping their matches on Friday and dropping just three sets on the weekend. The only sets they lost were one to Valley City and two to Shanley. The tournament matches are only three sets.

Jamestown finished sixth at the state tournament in 2012 and are looking to replace All-state middle hitter Siri Jystad. The Jays head to Marshall, MN this weekend to compete in the Southwestern Minnesota Challenge against some of the best teams from Minnesota.
The WDA season opens on September 10th when the Jays travel to Bismarck to take on St. Mary’s at 7pm. That game will be broadcast on 1400 KQDJ and NewsDakota.com.
