CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) Dakota Plains Cooperative will ask stockholders to approve a merger with CHS Inc; according to General Manager Ken Astrup.

Astrup talks about the advantage of joining the largest farmer owned cooperative in the U-S.

Astrup says employees will be retained under the merger. He says Dakota Plains Cooperative will operate as a division of CHS.

If the stockholders approve the merger with CHS it will go into effect on January first 2014.
