N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Starting September 1st, Great Lakes Airlines in Conjunction with the Jamestown Regional Airport will be hosting their 5th Annual Flying 4 Food program in 37 regional airports that they service.
“It is Hunger Action Month starting September 1st and we are doing this food drive to help with the cause.” said Kaitlyn Andersen with Great Lakes Airlines.
1 in 6 people in America go hungry each day and with Flying 4 Food, Great Lakes Airlines are hoping to help the cause.
They ask that you bring non-perishable food items to the Jamestown Regional Airport. There is also a prize for people that donate to the drive.
“We will have a drawing each week and the winner will receive a round trip to Minneapolis from the Jamestown Regional Airport. This will go all through September and only 4 will win.” said Kaitlyn.
Great Lakes Airlines will take all proceeds raised from the Flying 4 Food program and donate them to The Progress Community Center in Jamestown.
