CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) Enrollment numbers appear to be increasing after a gloomy report in July about the Valley City School district losing 25 students in the last school year.
Superintendent Dean Koppleman says preliminary numbers from school principals show an increase in student enrollment. Koppelman says official enrollment numbers will be released in September.
Due to the excessive heat the opening day of school was cancelled for the Valley City School district. Koppelman says school is expected to start at its normal time Thursday and Friday morning. Elementary students will be dismissed at 1:10pm and Junior/Senior High School students will be dismissed at 1:30pm in Valley City.
