CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) Several schools in the Dakota’s cancelled or shut down early due to temperatures that climbed into the 90’s.
Valley City public schools Superintendent Dean Koppelman cancelled the opening day of school set for Wednesday, August 28 due to the oppressive heat in the forecast this week.
Once again weather permitting Koppelman says school will start Thursday & Friday at the normal time but classes for elementary students will let out at 1:10pm both days and at 1:30pm for Junior/Senior High School students.
