CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) Valley City 8th grade teacher Kristi Shanenko received the Teacher of the Year Award in May during the Valley City School District’s annual All-Staff Recognition Social.

Now Kristi and 3 other teachers in the state will be interviewed Monday in Bismarck to see who will be named the North Dakota Teacher of the Year. Shanenko says the award will be announced in a few weeks.
